As a member of Copenhagen Game Collective, I helped organise events supporting Copenhagen’s independent and experimental game community. My work included Nordic Game Jam, Nordic Game Indie Night and Nordic Game Indie Day, where developers, students and audiences could meet, exchange ideas and experience unusual forms of play.

My responsibilities ranged from curating games, writing open calls and promotional posts, and communicating with selected developers to managing venues, budgets, performers and on-site production. For Nordic Game Jam 2013, I organised the board-game track, and in 2015 I led the team responsible for a pre-party attended by approximately 300 people, where I also served as a safer-space representative. I subsequently helped organise showcases at the Nordic Game Conference, selecting eight distinctive Nordic projects for exhibition and public voting.

This work strengthened my ability to coordinate contributors with different needs, communicate creative work to an audience and build welcoming environments in which experimental ideas could be shared.
